About
Hello, I am Roxanne and Australian expat living in Sevilla, Spain.
My love for travel started when I went on a two month exchange in Libourne, France at the age of 15. Since then I have lived amazing cities like Sydney, San Sebastian and now Sevilla. I am a huge history nerd and I love finding out new and obscure facts about the places I am visiting, or just about anything really.
Apart from history and traveling, I also love photography and cooking. I love going out early in the morning and capturing a city or destination, I love that I have this little snapshot that helps me when I look back and i can remember a special moment about my trip.

Top Destination
My top destination is Japan. It is such a perfect combination of both traditional and modern. It has crazy busy cities like Tokyo where you have high rises and neon signs on every corner and then you enter one of the many parks or shrines and you are whisked away from all the hustle and bustle. Japanese people are so friendly and helpful, even if they do not speak your language they will try and help you somehow.
Oh and the food!!! Some of the best food I have ever had in my life, my favorite discoveries were ramen and gyoza. Another thing I love about Japan is the fashion. Japanese people are not afraid to take risks, and often clothing combinations I thought would look terrible actually were amazing.

Australia :
I may be a little bit biased but if you are after a country that combines modern cities and wildness then Australia is the perfect place for you. I was born and raised in Sydney so I know a fair bit about how wonderful this southern land is. I was lucky enough to experience some of the “wildness” of Australia, as a child my parents would take us on holidays to our caravan 2.5 hrs south of Sydney. You would be surrounded by the bush (this is what we call forests) and often I would go off wandering creating my own adventures hoping to spot a kangaroo or maybe a blue tongue lizard. Another place in Australia famous for its wildness is the beautiful island of Tasmania at the base of the country. I spent a week there several years ago hiking and swimming in many amazing locations.
Best Winter destination
Haute-Savoie, if you are looking for somewhere that has all the winter essentials… wine, cheese and snow
Best food
Mexico : Throughout my travels and years living abroad I have had the chance of meeting some wonderful mexican people. They introduced me to the wonders of Mexican food.
Best road trip destination
Algarve : let me tell you the Algarve, which is in the south of Portugal, is by far is one of the highlights of my trip. It is the perfect destination to explore over a couple of days.

Best “Girls Trip”
Sevilla, Lisbon or Bordeaux.
This was a tough pick so I decided to include three cities.
Sevilla because it is my ‘new’ home. It is located in the South of Spain, and is Spain’s fourth largest city. It is a perfect place for a girls trip because it combines all of the best parts of spanish culture. Amazing food, beautiful monuments, fantastic nightlife and fascinating history.
Lisbon is a perfect destination for a girls trip and has many of the same qualities as Sevilla. It also is very close to some amazing beaches so you can combine the city life and have the relaxation of beach life too.
Bordeaux is a wonderful destination to getaway with your girlfriends because it is the gateway to some of France’s best vineyards. It also has some excellent shopping and a delicious food scene.
Best City Trip
Berlin!
If you are after a city that oozes that oh so cool factor then head on over to Berlin. I must say my first visit to Berlin did not leave me with a good opinion, however, I decided to give it another shot when I visited my best friend who now lives there.
What I discovered was a very International city that combined amazing monuments with an even more amazing food scene. What really changed my opinion was just how damn good the coffee scene is there…I may or may not be a little obsessed with coffee!!
